Munich today – news from October 7th, 2021 – Munich

Testing, testing, testing – still? To be honest, I was hoping that we would be further in October 2021. But the coronavirus still poses too much danger for too many people. Not even 60 percent of the Munich population has full vaccination protection. And not all the children under twelve who go to school and daycare anyway.

So test it. Only: From next Monday you should usually pay for the tests yourself. I have spoken to operators of private rapid test centers who have been considering prices in the past few days. The free market says hello, the price will probably level off soon.

After all, everyone who really needs a test can rest assured: There are a number of exceptions for which the test is still free. For example, if you have typical symptoms or if you are a contact person for an infected person – or if you want to visit your relatives in a nursing home.
