In the zoo, you have no peace and quiet from the ongoing Corona issue in two respects. On the one hand, zoo boss Rasem Baban doesn’t want his visitors to find peace and quiet in Hellabrunn in the sense of a relaxing amusement park experience. Let yourself be showered by splashing polar bears or jumping monkeys, interrupted by a long snack in one of the restaurants? That was before.
Of course, there are still plenty of culinary enticing devices for fried and sweetened foods, after all, an animal park also wants to earn money. But Munich has long since established itself as a learning oasis. Buildings like that of the species protection center are not yet located on the zoo’s splendid mile, but the educational will is unmistakable.
