For 13 years the bell has been silent. But now it’s midnight, so it sounds again and announces: It’s getting serious. The farewell is approaching. A few of the sweaty figures already know the sound. In 2010, the Harry Klein Electro Club closed once before, and even then the bell was something of a harbinger of farewell. A few more speeches, a few last songs, someone has taken the trouble to rewrite Udo Jürgens for this Sunday evening in 2023, “But please with cream” becomes “Harry Klein is the name”.
