A 44-year-old tenant came across a not entirely common find in his new apartment in the Laim district of Munich. As he moved in, he noticed an envelope with the address of the previous tenant behind a radiator. Inside there were other envelopes, each with a lot of cash.
The man took her to the police station. The count there resulted in more than 20,000 euros. The officials learned that the 61-year-old previous tenant is now under care.
After presenting a court certificate, the police handed their supervisor the cash, which was deposited into the 61-year-old’s account. The tenant can expect a finder’s fee of around 600 euros.
