Munich Stadtwerke: More than ten billion euros in sales – Munich

Stadtwerke München (SWM) had a turnover of 10.6 billion euros in 2022 – 2.3 billion more than in 2021. The recovery in public transport and in the pools after the corona pandemic had contributed to this, SWM announced, above all but the “partly drastically increased prices in wholesale and on the exchanges for electricity and natural gas”. The company results could not have kept up with the increase, but at least reached a “satisfactory level”. Accordingly, the operating result in the ongoing business was 455 million euros. Instead of the agreed 100 million euros, SWM was only able to distribute profits of 74 million to the city. The annual financial statements have not yet been published.
