Munich Spring Festival 2023: date, tents and beer prices – everything at a glance – Munich

Beer, brass band music, dirndls and lederhosen: In Munich, the spring festival begins on April 21, the little sister of the Wiesn, so to speak. It is the 57th edition of the folk festival.

When is the Spring Festival in Munich 2023?

At the April 21 at 4 p.m economics officer Clemens Baumgärtner (CSU) pierces the first barrel. Prime Minister Markus Söder and Wiesn City Councilor Anja Berger received the first Mass. The Spring Festival lasts until May 7th.

How to get there: Where does the folk festival take place?

As at the Oktoberfest, the beer tents and rides are on the Theresienwiese, to be reached with the U4/U5 at the stop of the same name or with the S-Bahn at the Hackerbrücke. If you arrive with the U3/U6, get off at Goethestraße. Alternatively, visitors walk a short distance from the Poccistrasse bus stop, which serves route 62, or from Theresienhöhe, which serves route 134. Guests can take line 68 to Georg-Hirth-Platz, from where it is just a few minutes to the festival grounds.

Which tents are at the Spring Festival?

There are two large marquees on the Theresienwiese: the Festhalle Bayernland by Schöniger and the Hippodrome by Krätz. The tents are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m open, drinks will be served until 10:30 p.m served.

Both tents offer a wide range of music. The musical accompaniment starts at 11 a.m. in the Festhalle Bayernland and at 12 p.m. in the Hippodrome. The festival hall has a star guest on stage on April 24: pop singer DJ Ötzi will create a good atmosphere from 6 p.m.

Supporting program for the Spring Festival

In addition to tents, showmen and fairground rides, there are a number of parallel events to the Spring Festival. The BRK flea market attracts thousands of people every year. The day of customs is also celebrated. An overview:
