Munich: “Polizeiruf 110” – real police investigate on the film set – Munich

In the TV crime thriller Police call 110 Only the actors Johanna Wokalek and Stephan Zinner are actually investigating as detectives from the Munich Criminal Investigation Department – but during the filming of the current episode “Sparkling Summer” the real police began investigating. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department followed up on a tip about the body of a burned person, as the Munich police confirmed on Monday. The supposed dead person, however, was a doll.

The episode broadcast on Sunday is about a charred body that is found in a burned-down house. For the shoot in May last year, employees had prepared a realistic doll, as the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation announced. In the story, actress Wokalek was supposed to look at photos of the victim in the office. In order to have them printed out, the production’s props manager went to a drugstore. When he wanted to pick up the pictures the following day, the police were waiting for him – investigating a suspected homicide. Employees of the store had notified the officers.

To solve the case, the prop master took the investigators to the film set in Ottobrunn. There, director Alexander Adolph confirmed that no one had lost their life for the gruesome sight.
