He is probably the only motorsport driver in the world who did his first laps on the lap of a chauffeur: Prince Leopold of Bavaria decided on an unusual career – at least for a royal highness born in 1943. The great-great-great-grandson of King Ludwig I. was a racing driver.
How did this happen? How did he get his first racing car? What role did Munich play in his life?
