Following the new pricing model for the Kammerspiele, the Culture Committee, on the recommendation of the Philharmonic Council, has now also initiated an increase in admission fees for the Munich Philharmonic. After the “positive response” to the opening season in the Isarphilharmonie, all concert tickets and subscriptions will be ten percent more expensive from September 2022. The most expensive regular ticket (price level I, category 1) will in future cost 95 instead of 86 euros, the cheapest 20 instead of 18. Tickets for children and young people will also be correspondingly more expensive, around eleven instead of ten euros on the cheap seats. The increase is expected to generate additional income of 300,000 euros annually – provided there are no or only a few cancellations of subscriptions.
