They again emphasize the form of the facade as an impression of the huge hall arch next door, and they have removed the inclined elevators: With their new design for the two 155-metre high-rise buildings in the parcel post hall, the architects from the Herzog/de Meuron office in Basel have partially returned to their original design approached the idea – and they are correct, at least from the point of view of the urban design commission. The committee, which advises the city on construction projects of particular importance, welcomed the current planning with a large majority at its meeting on Tuesday evening, thus paving the way for the further development of the project.
