Munich Neuhausen: Church of St. Barbara celebrates anniversary – Munich

And have served: St. Barbara was once built so that soldiers could go to war with a blessing. Today the church, which was officially consecrated a hundred years ago, is supposed to be a place of art – and a kind of living room.

A few weeks ago the clock in St. Barbara, which is located opposite the altar in the gallery, was finally repaired. Every hour now she emits a warm, golden sound. However, not quite on time. “The clockmaker did get the striking mechanism right,” says Pastor Peter Höck, “but unfortunately not the exact time yet. It always looks back at six, sometimes later.”
