The Verdi union has announced strikes in local transport throughout Bavaria for Friday. According to a message from Wednesday afternoon, the Munich transport company (MVG) is also affected.
Despite five rounds of negotiations on the collective agreement for local transport in Bavaria, employers and unions have not yet been able to reach an agreement. “These warning strikes are the logical consequence,” said Sinan Öztürk, deputy regional manager of Verdi Bavaria.
The strike is scheduled to start at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, May 19 and end at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20.
