Munich: More trouble for Bräurosl host Peter Reichert – Munich

It was a scuffle with long-term consequences: A good two months after the end of the Oktoberfest, the Munich public prosecutor’s office has now announced that a criminal complaint has now been filed against the Oktoberfest host of the Bräurosl, Peter Reichert.

The background to the argument was a dispute between Reichert and an employee of his security service in the tent, which led to a violent scuffle. The surveillance camera recording was first leaked to a tabloid newspaper, which reported extensively on it. At the time, Reichert had said to the SZ that the situation had unfortunately escalated, but that they had reconciled and agreed not to take any further steps.

Because of the criminal complaint filed during the Wiesn, the police began investigations, the results of which have now been forwarded to the public prosecutor’s office. Their press spokeswoman, chief public prosecutor Anne Leiding, said on request: “According to video recordings, it is a scuffle between the parties involved, during which the accused probably struck the first blow.” This could meet the criteria of simple and intentional bodily harm. Leiding continues: “The injured party has not yet provided any information about the facts.” Reichert could not be reached for comment on Thursday.
