The housing construction problems will not disappear as a result of the planned merger of the Munich housing companies. However, it offers the opportunity to bundle strengths – although this also increases social responsibility.

“Munich living” in other words. The name of the new municipal housing association is reminiscent of “Deutsche Wohnen” – the real estate company that recently became known in combination with a certain verb – through the Berlin initiative “Deutsche Wohnen & Co. Enteignen”https://www.sueddeutsche. de/muenchen/.”Deutsche Wohnen” is the largest landlord in Berlin, “Münchner Wohnen” will soon be the largest landlord in Munich with around 70,000 apartments. But that’s where the parallels stop. Because unlike the Berlin private company is accused of, the “Münchner Wohnen” as a municipal company should not be out to collect their tenants up to the limit of the tolerable.
