Munich: menus for Mallorca fans and bargain hunters – Munich

From a culinary point of view, Munich hotels currently have it with the south. Eight days ago, the luxury hotel The Charles opened its Sicilian weeks. And when they are slowly coming to an end, the boutique hotel loads Louis at the Viktualienmarkt for three evenings with gourmet menus from Mallorca. Because there is Jordi Cantohead chef at the Sa Clastra gastronomic establishment at the Mallorcan luxury hotel Castell Son Claretto guest.

The “culinary island trip”, as he calls his menu, consists entirely of seven courses – with prawns and Hamachi, i.e. a yellowtail mackerel, the traditional rice pan with mushrooms, lamb in puff pastry, a roulade from pigeon thighs and a roasted pigeon breast, ice cream Citrus and honey, including smoked honeycomb parfait and honey jelly from the Tramuntana mountains, at the foot of which lies the luxury hotel Castell Son Claret in southwest Mallorca. However, you can also choose short versions with three to five gears. There are also organic wines from the Tianna Negre winery (The Louis Grillroom, Viktualienmarkt 6, Thursday, February 9 to Saturday, February 11, from 5.30 p.m., gourmet menu 149 euros, three to five courses 89-129 euros, reservation at [email protected] or telephone 41 11 90 81 11).

“We thought about a small adjustment for inflation for our guests in February,” says hotelier and restaurant manager Stefan Grosse. His Restaurant Blauer Bock am Viktualienmarkt is definitely in the upmarket area, but has clever advertising campaigns every now and then. So there is a February evening Four-course menu “2 for 1” for two people, but only one pays the price of 95 euros. It consists of a starter, an intermediate course, a fish or meat dish – everything also in a vegetarian version – and a dessert. The dishes come from the menu of the day and are specially combined with the menu.

However, two days are excluded, because there is a special menu on these. These are of course the valentines dayFebruary 14, with four courses from beef carpaccio to lobster ravioloni and saddle of veal (each with a vegetarian alternative) to “Hot Love” all about raspberries and the Ash Wednesday22 February, with an extensive house fish dinner (Restaurant Blauer Bock, Sebastiansplatz 9, in February menu “2 for 1”, 95 euros for two people, Tuesday to Friday 6.30 p.m. to midnight, reservations by phone 45 22 23 33 or [email protected]).
