Munich: How do people with masks and disinfect their hands? – Munich

It has been three years since the first corona patient was officially registered in Germany. Since then life has not only changed in Munich. To protect against the virus, the mask requirement was tightened and relaxed again as the number of infections fell, and hands were regularly disinfected. The mouth cover is currently only a recommendation in many facilities and means of transport, and the point of disinfectant dispensers is being questioned.

How do the people of Munich feel about the protective measures today? A survey at the Stachus:

Daniel (30) and Lydia (35): “We no longer disinfect our hands to the same extent as we used to. The mask is in the bag, but is rarely taken out. We now get the return carriage for that: the children in the daycare centers are constantly ill. And here too Nobody in the family gets really healthy anymore. But somehow we have to learn to live with the virus again.”

Elisabeth (69) and Friedrich (67) Becker: “We still regularly disinfect our hands. It makes you feel safer, after all, you touch so much during the day. We hold the mask the same way, whether it’s prescribed or not. It has nothing to do with fear , but with personal responsibility.”
