There is an acute shortage of space at the Willi-Graf-Gymnasium. The neighboring Sophie-Scholl-Gymnasium is now supposed to give up a few rooms. But there is a fundamental problem that is troubling parents and teachers.
There is tension between the Sophie Scholl and Willi Graf high schools in Schwabing. The school management, as both sides confirm, has an “excellent relationship” – but a plan by the city’s education department is now causing a stir. The concept envisages adding six classrooms from the Sophie Scholl high school to the directly neighboring “Willi” school in the form of a structural partition, complete with its own entrance. The Sophie Scholl high school is a girls-only school, however – which is why the parents’ council now fears for the future of the non-denominational high school.
