Rudolf Schäfer KG manages several thousand apartments and shops in the greater Munich area. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, Erich and Martin Schäfer explain what moves them and their tenants and what framework conditions they want from politics.
A property manager, says Martin Schäfer, is also a pastor and pastor, good and bad conscience, for the landlords as well as for the tenants. His family has been running Rudolf Schäfer KG for exactly one hundred years. The medium-sized company based on Max-Joseph-Strasse manages and rents out several thousand residential and commercial units in the greater Munich area. Schäfer, 47, who is state chairman of the German Real Estate Association (IVD), took over the management of the company in 2006 from his father Erich, 83.
