Serdar Karagöz learned to swim before he could walk. Diving is a real passion for him. At the Sea Life Center he looks after the tanks, the technology and the fish population. He feeds the animals by hand – well, at least most of them.
They swim through the aquarium to soft music – colorful, striped and spotted fish, as well as sharks. The light paints waves on the dark floor. While the visitors move deeper into the underwater world, room by room, two floors above them, Serdar Karagöz prepares for his dive. The pumps of the ocean basin are roaring around him, and you can hardly understand his own words. It smells like the sea.
