Munich: Dealer offers plainclothes police officers drugs – Munich

A 43-year-old Munich man apparently interpreted the conversation between several men at dusk as a drug deal on Wednesday on Nußbaumplatz. In any case, he joined the conversation and offered methadone tablets. Unfortunately, he had misinterpreted the situation, because two of the men immediately identified themselves as police officers. They were on the road as civilian bike patrols for traffic surveillance and were checking people they suspected of violating the Narcotics Act. During a subsequent search of the vendor, officers found a total of 11 of the prescription methadone pills and some cannabis. They secured the narcotics and reported the 43-year-old to one. The man is known both as a dealer and as a user of drugs.
