A man was trapped under the luggage compartment of a bus and seriously injured. The 49-year-old bus driver parked his vehicle at the central bus station (ZOB) on Wednesday and worked in the luggage compartment on the side, as the fire brigade and police announced on Thursday. For reasons that are not yet known, the man was crushed between the luggage flap and the floor of the luggage compartment. A security service employee saw the man and alerted the emergency services. Several people tried unsuccessfully to open the door, which was eventually lifted from the unconscious man’s chest by firefighters. He was taken to a hospital.
