The series of burglaries in Munich continues – although the police arrested two suspects who could be responsible for at least twenty burglaries in the state capital just a few days ago. There were three more burglaries this weekend, all in the east and south-east of Munich – in Steinhausen, Ramersdorf and Bogenhausen.
In two cases, according to the police, the unknown perpetrator or perpetrators entered the apartments through the patio door, in Bogenhausen they got through a neighboring property to a window that was also opened by force. The perpetrators stole cash and jewelery worth several thousand euros each.
Since the beginning of the year, the police have recorded one or more burglaries in the city almost every day. According to Volker Hemmert, head of the responsible police department, the number of burglary offenses is currently moving back to the pre-Corona level in 2019 after a low in 2020 and 2021, but is still lower.
