In the end, buying an alarm clock didn’t help either. In the end, Denis had to go to prison. Even though he found an apprenticeship, showed up for work on time every day, and regularly attended his appointments with the probation service. Denise (Name changed by the editors) has got his life back under control – after years without goals, without prospects. He found the motivation to become an actor through a Munich club, he got a major role in a movie at a casting, the director of this film even sent a letter to the courts – but it was all to no avail: Denis was convicted of various juvenile offenses; he is currently serving his prison sentence in Neuburg an der Donau. “I think it’s a real shame that I can’t play such a major role in a movie now,” explains Denis, “but I’m looking forward. My path to acting has only just begun.”
