After an attack with a shot at a 17-year-old, the police in Munich arrested two teenagers. A special unit arrested a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old early Friday morning, officials said.
The two young men are suspected of breaking into an apartment a week ago and shooting the youth in the upper body. He was critically injured in the process. An investigating judge should decide later on Friday whether the two suspects will be remanded in custody for attempted murder.
The police were initially silent about the motive for the crime. The investigators also did not want to disclose details, such as the weapon, for the time being. A spokesman said only that the German suspects and the victim knew each other. The police are actively looking for other suspects.
