It’s pouring with rain as Andreas Gabalier’s concert is about to get underway in the Olympic Stadium. But that’s become a bit of a habit at this summer’s stadium concerts. So the Austrian folk-kitsch rocker has to endure the rain. He gets support from Berlin’s whining comedian Mario Barth, who insists on introducing his buddy Gabalier. United in the “Oh, how good we used to have it” attitude, one with burning seriousness, the other with whining anti-progressive humor. But Barth also announces that there will be another original, from the good old days of skimpy swimsuits and honest car love: David Hasselhoff.
