Munich Airport: Drunk man causes a disturbance on a plane – and is arrested – Munich

Instead of landing on the holiday island of Kos, a tourist from England ended up in a detention cell of the Munich airport police. The 36-year-old caused a riot on the plane after the stewardesses refused to give him any more beer. The plane had to make an emergency landing. According to the police, the man followed the flight attendants down the aisle of the plane. They refused him alcohol several times. The man then hit one of the women on the head with the palm of his hand and threw his baseball cap at the other.

When the ladies called the captain on the on-board telephone, the man ripped the phone from its anchorage. Other passengers intervened. Because the man did not want to leave the plane at Munich Airport, officers used physical force to take him out of the plane and into a holding cell. He offered massive resistance. According to the police, the man will face charges of assault, damage to property and resisting law enforcement officers. A police officer and a stewardess were slightly injured in the incident. After sobering up, the man was released.
