Munich: Acclaimed recital with Ludovic Tézier – Munich

Ludovic Tezier has taken off his glasses and he no longer needs sheet music. The French in the Prinzregententheater cheer because they know what is coming when the baritone recites the first words: “Oh, je voudrais tant que tu te souviennes, des jours heureux où nous étions amis …” After Berlioz, Mahler, Wagner, Schubert and Strauss, Tézier has come home to Marseille, where Yves Montand also grew up. Tézier sings the chanson “Les feuilles mortes” with which Montand became famous. Memories of happier days that the north wind carries away like withered leaves. For the first time this evening he has completely switched off the operatic apparatus, his big, elegant, full voice. You hear Tézier in his purest form: natural, flooded with warmth, without any pressure.
