It’s a wonderful sentence about the theater that explains a lot: “I fell in love with shock.” The sentence comes from director Elsa-Sophie Jach. It’s almost 16 years since her love for the theater ignited, when she was a teenager, her path could have branched off in other directions. But the slope has remained strong enough, otherwise Jach would not be where she is today: she has been resident director at the Bavarian State Theater since this season – at the age of 31. Jach often speaks of “luck” when it comes to this remarkable CV. But there is so much energy to be felt that it is obvious: There are other things at play that feed on their great dedication.
