Munich: 49-year-old found dead in the apartment in Neuhausen – Munich

A 49-year-old man was found dead in his apartment in Neuhausen on Friday. The autopsy of the body on Saturday confirmed the initial suspicion that the man had been the victim of a crime. Stephan Beer, the head of the homicide squad, named “violence against the upper body” as the cause of death, but did not provide any details for tactical reasons. He only ruled out a gunshot wound or strangulation.

According to the first investigation, the act took place between October 17th and November 5th. On October 17, the unemployed man was last seen alive while shopping. On November 5, the victim’s daughter called the police because she had not been able to reach her father for days. Since the door of his one-room apartment at Leonrodstrasse 31 could not be opened (for “technical reasons”, as Beer said), the fire brigade entered the apartment using a turntable ladder via the balcony on the third floor. There the man was lying on the floor. As Kriminalrat Beer explained, there were no visible signs of a struggle. The apartment was tidy, and according to the first impression nothing had been stolen. As Beer confirmed, the 49-year-old was known to the police for assault and traffic offenses.

Witnesses are now being sought who noticed something in the area of Leonrodstrasse, Landshuter Allee and Albrechtstrasse during the period mentioned. Information at the police headquarters on 089 / 2910-0, or at any other police station.
