In an accident on Autobahn 94 near Mühldorf am Inn, a man had a fatal accident. The 45-year-old either drove very slowly on the hard shoulder of the motorway early on Monday morning or stood, the police said. Another car hit him and pushed the 45-year-old’s car against the central barrier. Then the man apparently got out of his car, it was said.
A third driver came from behind and wanted to avoid the previously rammed car, which was now on the highway. The driver overlooked the 45-year-old, who was walking on the autobahn, in the dark and ran over him. According to the information, he died at the scene of the accident. The two other drivers involved were slightly injured, the police said. The exact cause of the accident is still being determined.
Later, at the scene of the accident, two occupants of a van were slightly injured when they hit a truck that was braking hard. The A94 was initially closed because of the accidents in the direction of Munich. According to a police spokesman, she was free again on Monday morning.
