He should be glad he’s getting playing time at all (because although his scorers are pretty strong for his age, he hasn’t really uprooted himself yet).
He has the most scorer in the squad next to Bellingham and only needed about 60% of the minutes of the game. There’s little reason not to give him a lot of playing time. Except, if necessary, temporary protection. Unfortunately, boys of that age rarely see themselves… And neither do those around them.
He should stay and develop over the next few years. Nothing at all that speaks against it mmn.
I “fear” that 1.) is not completely convinced of him and 2.) Haller (justifiably) will get his chance as soon as he is fit again. So I wouldn’t be so sure that he would get that much playing time. As I said, I’m kind of torn about this.
That’s exactly where I see the problem with those responsible in Dortmund. They weren’t completely convinced of him either 2 years ago or now and are therefore too cautious (or stingy) in offering him a contract that suits his talent before seeing how he develops in the professional field.
Real, on the other hand, pays 70 million + salary for a 16-year-old Endrick, I don’t think they take anything from the talent and achievements in their youth.
All top clubs would have given Moukoko a corresponding contract immediately and taken the risk with a kiss. Dortmund didn’t want to take the risk and on the other hand expects trust and gratitude from the player. It goes without saying that he now looks around and picks out the best.
But you can always find an example for your reasoning (not meant negatively, I feel the same way). But I don’t want to open the whole list of the highly acclaimed talents of the century who have signed FCB, Real, Barcelona, PSG etc. and who have not developed accordingly or, worse, where the top clubs have bought ready-made players for another crazy millions have and preferred them to talent. Without being able to prove it, I would simply say that more have flopped than they have hit.
But like I said. There is a suitable example for every point of view. I just see it differently and I’m happy if my club doesn’t pass these sums on to a possible promise. There we are with the examples where the players take off completely or are too full too early.
For me, Moukoko’s talent has only rarely indicated that he could help a club in the long term and constantly. I see the difference in a direct comparison of the presence of a player like Bellingham to a Moukoko. And I also saw a Sancho back then. But you can see very well where the development can go when a club has just put 85 million on the table. Well… if you have it. Certainly not BVB.
In short….you should be able to look at everything in a more differentiated way.
