More than 500 positions still to be filled for picking lily of the valley

A true specialty of Nantes market gardeners, who produce an average of 50 million strands per year, lily of the valley is still looking for labor for May 1st. While thousands of positions were like every year to be filled, there are still more than 500 contracts available, announced this Friday Pôle Emploi. On the program: picking lily of the valley, sorting, making bouquets or even sending these little bells.

All people motivated by this work must be available between April 20 and 30, Saturday and Sunday inclusive. The start of the day can be quite early and the work can be done outdoors, or in the cold. The farms, which promise an hourly wage of 11.57 euros gross and generally do not offer accommodation on site, are located in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu or Machecoul. The offers, which struggle each year to attract enough candidates, are available on the Pôle Emploi website.
