The corona traffic light

Important: In order to include a more meaningful indicator in the corona traffic light, the relative change in the 7-day incidence was replaced by the hospitalization incidence. The 7-day incidence and the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds remain unchanged.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants – equivalent to the 7-day incidence for Berlin as a whole – the value according to the management report is 344.8 (previous day: 348.6) – the traffic light is on RED.

The 7-day hospitalization incidence is 3.8 (previous day: 4.1) – the traffic light is on again GREEN.

This indicator shows how many people per 100,000 inhabitants were hospitalized after a corona infection within a week. The indicator is green when the value is below 4. From 4 the traffic light switches to yellow, at 8 to red.

The utilization of the intensive care beds by corona patients is 19.6 percent (previous day: 18.8 percent) – the traffic light is still on YELLOW.

The limit value for yellow is 5 percent, at 20 percent this traffic light also jumps to red.
