“Chair. White. Plastic. Shit.” These are the first four words in Hauke Wendler’s grandiose podcast series, which are already apt “monobloc”. The documentary filmmaker is eight years old – possibly obsessed followed by the chair – “the trail of a billion plastic chairs”. The first three words, i.e. chair-white plastic, in his NDR radio production, which is parallel to the documentary film and the book that will be published shortly Hatje Cantz has emerged are already comprehensive.
