Mittlerer Ring in Munich: Police stop traffic for goose family – Munich

Police officers closed a major road in Munich twice to help a family of geese cross the road. The federal police said on Friday that the patrol officers had previously seen some cars suddenly stop on Landshuter Allee at the Mittlerer Ring.

A family of geese was leisurely crossing the busy road on Thursday. Officers closed the road and helped the animals get to the other side. After a short break in the green area, the geese and their chicks continued their migration to the Olympic Park. The emergency services stopped the traffic on the expressway again and the geese waddled safely towards the park, according to the police. In the report on the operation, the officers noted: “We decided not to initiate a fine procedure for endangering traffic.”
