Her worrying disappearance was reported on Monday around 7:25 p.m. to the police station in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. A woman accredited to the 2024 Olympic Games at the Stade de France, and who disappeared after attending the closing ceremony, was found dead in Paris in the home of her partner who was arrested.
According to a police source, the searches established that the victim was last seen around 1 a.m. on Sunday night on Boulevard Ney.
A text message indicating that the spouse did “something stupid”
Around 11pm on Monday, the missing woman’s family informed investigators that they had received a text message from an acquaintance stating that her partner had done “something stupid”. The police went to the latter’s home in the 18th arrondissement. Around 1:45am, they discovered the victim’s lifeless body, with a bruise on her cheekbone and “blood on her neck suggesting the presence of a wound”.
The man, who was next to him “in a semi-comatose state”, was arrested and taken into custody. The circumstances of the death remain to be established and the investigations have been entrusted to the 2nd district of the Paris judicial police (DPJ).
