More than 26 years ago, three-year-old Angela Celentano disappeared without a trace at a family picnic. Now a photo from South America is raising hopes that one of Italy’s most puzzling criminal cases will be solved after all.
On August 10, 1996, the Celentano family – mother, father, three daughters – went on a trip. She is with other families from the small town of Castellammare di Stabia, all members of an evangelical church. The group is having a picnic on Monte Faito, a good half hour’s drive south of Naples.
