If the investigation has yet to establish precisely the circumstances of this tragedy and its causes, everything indicates that the man killed his wife before killing himself. “No other person seems to be implicated in the course of events”specifies Cécile Gensac, prosecutor of the Republic of the judicial court of Nîmes, in a press release which has just been published.
The couple’s two children, aged 9 and 13, were admitted to the pediatric emergency room and are receiving psychological care from a specialized cell. Since the beginning of 2022, 109 women in France have died under the blows of their spouses according to the count of the feminist collective #Noustoutes, arrested at the end of October.
