Milbertshofen: After a deadly fight, the public prosecutor files charges – Munich

After a fatal brawl in Munich, the Munich I public prosecutor’s office brought manslaughter charges against a 17-year-old. The trial at the Munich I district court should begin on July 4th, a press spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office confirmed when asked on Thursday.

The 17-year-old Iraqi is suspected of repeatedly stabbing and fatally injuring an 18-year-old compatriot during a fight between two groups of young people in March. The 18-year-old himself is said to have stabbed a 15-year-old in the stomach with a sharp, pointed object and seriously injured him.

After initial investigations, the public prosecutor assumed two groups with a total of 20 people. They should have met in a park in the Milbertshofen district in the north of Munich. Both Iraqis came to Germany in 2010 and were known to the police for violent crimes.
