Mike Tindall interviewed his wife Zara for his new YouTube series Mike Drop. The greeting is reminiscent of another royal.

Mike Tindall (44) is launching a new YouTube format called “Mike Drop” on January 24th. In the interview series, the former rugby pro talks to a variety of guests about their passion for horses. Among other things, his wife Zara Tindall (41) has his say.

A trailer shows, as Mike Tindall sits across from his wife, beams at her and greets her with the words “Hello my love”. Smiling, she returns the greeting. Another sequence shows Mike Tindall adjusting his interview notes and saying, “Welcome to my world!” Zara Tindall jokingly rolls her eyes and tries not to laugh.

The pair then discuss the Magic Millions horse race in Australia, which Zara Tindall describes as “one of the most important events on the horse racing calendar”. The former Olympic vice champion in show jumping and daughter of Princess Anne (72) is the patron of the event.

Allusion to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan?

In addition to the loving greeting, the beginning of the video in particular causes a stir: Mike Tindall is standing on the beach in royal uniform and playing the trumpet. Just a few days ago, Prince Harry (38) on the “Late Show” with Stephen Colbert (58) shot a similar skit, in which he seemed to mock the royal fanfares. Prince Harry also calls his wife Duchess Meghan (41) “my love”.

Is it a coincidence or a deliberate allusion by Tindall after Prince Harry shoots violently at the British royal family in his autobiography “Reserve” (original title: “Spare”)?
