While Israel is getting the situation in the Gaza Strip under control to some extent, there is a risk of further escalation on the northern border with Lebanon. There are attacks and counterattacks.

Hezbollah in Lebanon fired rockets in retaliation for the deaths of several supporters Israel fired. Israel’s army responded with artillery fire, the military announced on Monday evening. There were initially no reports of victims.

The Shiite organization Hezbollah described the rocket attack on Israeli positions as a response to the deaths of several of its own supporters. The Shiite organization had previously announced that three fighters had died as a result of “Zionist aggression”.

According to military information, Israel’s army attacked targets in Lebanon with attack helicopters in the afternoon and previously shot several armed suspects who had advanced into Israel from its northern neighbor.

The Shiite organization Hezbollah, which is closely allied with Iran, denied involvement in the incident, to which Israel responded by shelling targets in the south of the neighboring country.

Security circles in Lebanon suspect that Palestinian militants are behind the attack on Israel.
