Middle East conflict: Germans in Gaza wait for help – politics

They only wanted to stay a few days to visit their relatives. Now German citizens are stuck in Gaza, according to the Foreign Office, a low three-digit number. After the Hamas massacre on October 7th with more than 1,400 deaths in Israel and the counterattacks by the Israeli army since then, the civilian population in Gaza is living in a state of emergency, without electricity, water and fuel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the total isolation of the densely populated coastal strip. More than two million people live in the Gaza Strip. 10,000 foreigners are now stuck there.
