Mick Jagger has been infected with the corona virus. A Rolling Stones concert in Amsterdam has been canceled at short notice.
The Rolling Stones reach out to their fans with bad news. The concert in Amsterdam planned for Monday (June 13) had to be canceled at short notice. The reason: Frontman Mick Jagger (78) has been infected with the corona virus. According to the band, including on Twitterthe singer showed symptoms upon arrival at the Johan Cruyff Arena and was then tested.
Mick Jagger apologizes on Instagram
On Instagram Jagger also takes a stand and apologizes for the cancellation of the gig: “Unfortunately I have tested positive for Covid. We are trying to reschedule the date as soon as possible and come back as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding .”
Is the tour on the brink?
How the concerts as part of the current Stones tour will continue remains open for the time being.
A performance in Bern is planned for next Friday, and the show will continue in Milan next week. The Rolling Stones are performing in London at the end of the month. Dates in France, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Sweden are scheduled for July.
