The Wuppertal public prosecutor’s office is investigating the alleged blackmail of a celebrity. Several arrest warrants have been executed. The victim is said to be Michael Schumacher.
Suspects have been arrested in Wuppertal in the case of alleged blackmail of a celebrity. “We are investigating a case of blackmail to the detriment of a celebrity. More than one arrest warrant has been executed in this connection,” a spokesman for the Wuppertal public prosecutor’s office told the German Press Agency on Thursday. The spokesman did not comment on the number of people arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
Blackmail attempts against Michael Schumacher’s family
No information could be given about the celebrity’s identity at this time. The spokesman also did not provide any further details. “We are in the middle of ongoing investigations and cannot say anything more at this time.” According to information from the “Image” and the “Mirror” It is said to be former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher. The Schumacher family has been the target of blackmail attempts in the past. In 2017, a 25-year-old was sentenced to 21 months’ probation for blackmail. He had demanded 900,000 euros from Schumacher’s wife and threatened that something might happen to the children.
Racing driver Michael Schumacher had a serious accident while skiing in the Alps in 2013. Since then, he has withdrawn from public life.
