Michael Meyen: Controversial LMU professor lectures again in Munich – Munich

The controversial communication scientist and publisher of a lateral thinker newspaper is again giving a lecture at the LMU Munich. Right at the beginning he addresses the developments of the past few weeks – and how he became the person he is.

Seven seniors, not even 30 students and no daylight – on Tuesday afternoon there was little to indicate that what is currently probably the most controversial professor at the Ludwig Maximilian University will resume lectures in the basement of the Geschwister-Scholl-Institut. No protest action by students demanding that the communication scientist Michael Meyen withdraw his editorship of the Democratic Resistance lays down – a magazine that some see as the central organ of the lateral thinker scene and in which pioneers from the new right wrote. And also no wiry forties with polo shirts and leather jackets, who would be assigned to the domestic secret service – after Meyen’s new job became known, the university “contacted us with a corresponding request,” confirmed the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution of the SZ. When there are plainclothes officers present here, at least they don’t look like the costume designers in crime TV shows suggest.
