The Met Gala is coming up again in a few months. This time, Penélope Cruz and Roger Federer are among the co-hosts.
On May 1, 2023, the fashion event of the year will once again take place in New York with the Met Gala. Anna Wintour (73), editor-in-chief of the US fashion magazine “Vogue”, has been the host of the gala for more than two decades – and once again welcomes special guests this year.
Two actresses, a singer and a tennis star
In 2023, actress Michaela Coel (35), singer Dua Lipa (27), Oscar winner Penélope Cruz (48) and former tennis star Roger Federer (41) will be her co-hosts. The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art did this, among others shared on Instagramwhich will benefit from the proceeds of the annual charity gala.
In addition, countless stars and greats from the world of fashion and the entertainment industry will certainly be presenting often unusual creations on the red carpet. In addition to Wintour, Regina King (52), Blake Lively (35), her husband Ryan Reynolds (46) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (43) were invited as co-chairs in 2022.
The opening of the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” will also be celebrated as part of the Met Gala in 2023, which is about the work of the German fashion designer who died in 2019. The exhibition will then be open regularly from May 5th.
