Meret Becker occurs in Taufkirchen – district of Munich

There is currently a lot to tell in the bird world. Anyone who goes for a walk in the countryside these days will be accompanied almost everywhere by the joyful continuous chirping, chirping and trilling of finches, blackbirds or tits. Singing, flying, playfully lying together in flight – such a bird’s life can be seductive and inspiring. “A homage to and around birds” is staged this Friday, May 13, by actress Meret Becker, her daughter Lulu Hacke and Meret Becker’s mother Monika Hansen in Taufkirchen. Three generations from a family of artists present “3 Birds – a spring reading” in the culture and congress center: A collage of amusing, serious and also melancholic texts, “spoken, sung or catered to”, as promised. “Bird” means bird in English, but is also a term for women and girls.

Meret Becker, who is not appearing in Taufkirchen for the first time – cultural center manager Michael Blume is a self-confessed fan of hers – is probably one of the most interesting and versatile artists in the country. Even though the Berlin-based actress and singer is now 53 and the years have left their mark on her, she still often seems as if she had fluttered into a fountain of youth and bathed her pale, tender face in it. Her best-known films include “Kleine Haie”, “Rossini” and “Comedian Harmonists” from the nineties, but she recently shone again in Dominik Graf’s “Fabian oder der Gang vor den Hunde” (2021) as the emancipated nymphomaniac Irene Moll. Meret Becker is best known to many television viewers as the Berlin crime scene commissioner alongside Mark Waschke, but she has given up this part as Nina Rubin, and she will soon be seen in the role for the last time. “I was and am a stray, and it’s time to continue to satisfy my curiosity and try new things,” she told ARD when she justified her departure.

The spring reading with Meret Becker, Lulu Hacke and Monika Hansen, who was married to the actors Rolf Becker (father of Meret and Ben Becker) and Otto Sander, begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from, among others https://kulturzentrum-taufkirchen.de or Munich ticket.
