The actor was a guest on “Maybrit Illner” on Thursday. He called for a better discourse in society, also and especially on the subject of vaccination.

The actor Jan Josef Liefers would like to see a return to a better discourse in society on the subject of vaccinations and the corona pandemic.

He would like us to “disarm adjectives and language,” said the 57-year-old on Thursday on the ZDF talk show “Maybrit Illner”. “That we can find our way back to a form of negotiating, accepting and enduring different, contradicting and sometimes absurd opinions with one another.”

The theme of the program was: “Vaccinated, tested, annoyed – dare to be more free?” Liefers, who is best known for his role in the Münster «Tatort», also said that the stigmatization of groups that do not want to be vaccinated «must be very, very careful. Because that too can smash a lot of porcelain ».

In the past, Liefers had repeatedly commented on the corona pandemic and policy. He had also participated in the controversial video campaign #allesdichtmachen. At that time, people from the film and television scene criticized the way the corona virus was dealt with with satirical videos on the Internet. The action subsequently provoked controversial reactions – some accused the group of playing down.

Several participants later distanced themselves. Liefers, who claims to have been vaccinated himself, later also visited an intensive care unit in a hospital and worked there. He described his impressions in the media with sometimes drastic words.

The “Berliner Zeitung” (Friday) spoke to Liefers in an interview about the newer controversial video campaign #allesaufdentisch on the net. When asked why he did not take part in this video campaign, the actor said: “There will be a conversation with the media scientist Stephan Russ-Mohl and me. I do not understand why this action is so opposed by some. You can deal with its content or you can choose to ignore it. “

The campaign, in which actors Volker Bruch and Wotan Wilke Möhring, among others, took part, started at the end of September. In many videos that have since been uploaded online, the Corona measures and media coverage are criticized, among other things. Critics accuse the creators of using conspiracy-ideological narratives.

The YouTube platform has already deleted a few clips. In an urgent decision, a court saw the deletion of two videos in particular as unjustified – because the platform did not explain in sufficient detail why it was deleted.
