Mask? Yes, please! Where it pays to continue wearing a mask

The mask requirement is passé in many places. Now the number of infections with the corona virus is increasing. It is good advice to continue to wear a mask voluntarily – not just to protect yourself.

Masks shaped the public image in the pandemic for a long time. They’ve been seen less and less lately. The reason: At the beginning of April, most of the measures to contain the corona virus expired in many federal states, including the obligation to wear masks in public interiors such as supermarkets or 2G and 3G rules. The so-called basic protective measures of the Infection Protection Act are currently taking effect in Germany. They only make it compulsory to wear masks in certain places, for example in hospitals, in retirement homes or on buses and trains. If a state government proclaims a so-called “hotspot”, more comprehensive measures are also possible regionally. The current regulations end on September 23.
