Jens Spahn can still very well remember how he felt when the scandal surrounding his long-term Union colleague Georg Nüßlein began. When it became known that the CSU MP Nüßlein had secretly pocketed a fee of 660,000 euros for the sale of corona protective masks to the state, which was later confirmed. Health Minister Spahn (CDU) was just in the Bundestag and he was stunned.
